Minimus Co-Founder Appears On CNBC

Our Paul Shrater had a very busy morning last Thursday. As he routinely does around 7 a.m., Paul checked his email and was surprised to see a message from a reporter at CNBC, requesting an immediate on-camera interview.

The request was being made in light of the terrorist threats that were uncovered in London last week and the resulting ban on liquid items in carry-on luggage. The reporter wanted to interview Paul about how the new restrictions might affect air travelers, and how businesses like ours might help. The reporter asked Paul if he could be in the studio within the hour.

Paul immediately called Harris Kaufman (our VP of Business Development) and asked if he could deliver some of our products to the studio in Universal City where Paul was to be interviewed. Harris grabbed some products, dashed off to the studio, and arrived in time so that our products could be part of the interview and presentation.

Paul explained during his interview that because travelers will no longer be able to carry-on their personal liquid toiletry items, they will now have to pack those items into their checked luggage (that have weight restrictions with surcharges for overages). He said that people will now likely purchase smaller, travel-sized items in order to conserve precious space and weight in their luggage.

According to Paul, “Minimus is in the process of expanding its product line to accommodate air travelers as they deal with these new restrictions, and we are also offering a wide array of new delivery options to serve our customers’ needs.”

It was indeed a hectic and busy morning for Paul and Harris but in light of the events in London, and the consequences for air travelers everywhere, they were only too glad to help.
