Orders within the U.S. over $20 are shipped free via FedEx Ground or FedEx SmartPost (Hawaii and Alaska do not qualify for free shipping). Orders over $20 shipping to APO/FPO and Post Office Box addresses will be shipped vis USPS. Orders that need to be changed for any reason (e.g., item out of stock) and drop below $20, after the order has been placed, are no longer eligible for free shipping -- our customer service department will reach out to you for potential substitutions or you can add items to your order to bring it over $20.
All Ground / SmartPost shipments go out within three business days of the order being placed. Business days are Monday through Friday and excluding holidays.
There is a minimum shipping charge of $6.50 for all orders under $20.

FedEx Ground w/ accelerated processing
While Minimus has made use of the partnership that FedEx has with USPS, called "SmartPost," in order to help defray the growing shipping costs and surcharges for FedEx Ground shipments and maintain a free shipping option, some customers have requested the ability to avoid SmartPost.
Thus, we have setup the option to have the order shipped via FedEx Ground (not using SmartPost) for a small fee. As an added bonus, if the order comes in before 12pm Pacific M-F (excluding holidays), it will be shipped the same day. If it comes in after 12pm Pacific, it will ship the next business day.
Customers have the option to pay for expedited shipping (2-Day or Express Saver/3-Day) at our actual FedEx corporate
discounted cost. All expedited shipments placed before noon Pacific Time, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) go
out the same day. Orders for expedited shipments placed after noon go out the next business day.
For FedEx 2-Day or FedEx Express Saver (3-Day) shipments, the 2 or 3 days does not include the day it was shipped
nor does it include Saturdays or Sundays. Thus, if you place a FedEx 2-Day order on Thursday at 1pm, it will go out on
Friday and be delivered on Tuesday by 4:30pm.
All expedited shipments are delivered by FedEx before 4:30pm on the scheduled delivery day.

Shipping to P.O. Boxes:
FedEx does not ship to P.O. boxes. Shipments to P.O. boxes will go out via USPS. USPS orders valued over $40 will be
insured via a third party insurance company. While we can provide proof of shipment for USPS orders valued less than $40,
we are not responsible for those orders once they leave our facility.
Shipments to Armed Forces:
Shipments to military post offices (i.e. APO or FPO) can only be shipped via the U.S. Postal Service.
Please note, that when you checkout, you must place the APO or the FPO part of the address in the 'city' field. In the state field, if your address is 'AP,' then choose 'Armed Forces Pacific' from the pull down list of choices. If your address is 'AE,' (stands for 'Armed Forces Other Area') you will want to choose the appropriate location of your service member from the pull-down menu. The postal code / zip code is the zip code you have (if it begins with a '9' it goes out via the military post office in San Francisco, if it begins with a '0' then it goes out via the military post office in New York).
If at any time you get an error message, check to see that you have the zip code in the correct zip code field, and that the 'city' field has the correct APO or FPO information.
While we use a third-party insurance company for our USPS shipments valued over $40, the insurance company will not insure APO/FPO packages due to the troops always on the move and packages that get lost, as well as the theft issues that have been reported. Thus, while we can provide proof of shipment, we cannot be responsible for APO/FPO packages once they leave our facility.

For shipping to international addresses directly from Minimus, we ship to many international destinations, and shipments will primarily use FedEx. However, some destinations have limited service options, or may only be serviced by USPS. Costs are determined both by weight of your order and your destination. To find out what is available in your area and service costs, please add your items to your cart, select your country from the drop-down menu on the checkout page, and then enter your shipping address and zip code. Your shipping costs will display along with the available service options (2-day, 3-day, express, etc).
For international shipments, all duties, fees, licenses, taxes, and adherence to local laws, regulations and customs, and any other such international issues are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Items Marked Ground Shipping Only/DOT-Restricted Items:
We carry several items (aerosols, and items with alcohol) that are considered hazardous materials and are therefore restricted by the U.S. Department of Transportation. The standard option for shipping these items is via Ground service, which means they are not available for shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, or International. If you place any of these items in your cart, upon checkout you will see that your shipping options note "FedEx Ground - restricted items in cart" (Note: PO Box and APO/FPO orders will ship via USPS).
Special arrangements can be made to ship these items via air, but there is a $50 surcharge, per box, for the extra special labeling, paperwork, fees, and handling that must be done. If you would still like to ship these items via air, and if air service is available for your destination, you can choose the upgraded shipping options at checkout. Once you enter your destination zip code you will see your shipping options include the description "Restricted Item Surcharges Apply" with an increased price. That increased price includes your paperwork surcharge.
Shipping to Prisons, Jails, and Other Types of Correctional Facilities:
Minimus is not an approved provider and cannot ship to any prisons, jails, and other types of correctional institutions. Previously, we have shipped to prisons, jails, and other types of correctional institutions but have found that a majority of these shipments were being rejected as the items were not appropriate. Thus, we have discontinued shipping to prisons, jails, and other types of correctional institutions. If you do choose to ship to one of these locations, and it is not spotted by our shipping department and stopped, and your package is rejected by the prison, we cannot provide a refund.
