Are the shipments insured?
It depends. Our regular shipments via FedEx Ground and International are insured by FedEx. USPS Priority shipments are insured by USPS. The carriers do not insure APO/FPO (military) shipments due to frequent troop movement and theft issues within the military postal system. All other orders are shipped at the risk of the customer.
Can I be an affiliate and make money by putting a link to your site on mine?
Unfortunately, we do not offer an affiliate program.
Can I ship my order in advance to my hotel?

Can you get the large sizes of any of the items?
Sorry, we only carry the small sizes. However, we are often able to accommodate special orders of larger items for wholesale orders.
Do you carry everything in your facility?
Yes! We are proudly more than just a drop-ship reseller! We have our own warehouse that is stocked with significant quantities of our items. However, due to high volume orders, we may occasionally be short on stock. Please click

Do you ever run sales, discount your products, or offer coupons?
Minimus is very price conscious, and we want to offer our customers the best deals possible on our products. If we get a good deal from a supplier, we'll pass it along to our customers! We also frequently have items on sale in our Sale Items aisle on our site!
Minimus does offer coupon codes in our newsletters and blog! Our coupon policy is that multiple coupons may be used on one transaction for separate items; however coupons may not be "stacked" to multiply the discount. Attempts to do will receive an error stating "This code cannot be combined with other offers."
For example: a coupon for mouthwash may be used at the same time as a coupon for floss as they for separate items. However, a coupon for oral mare may not be "stacked" with either of the previous coupons.

Do you offer free samples or donations of your products?
Unfortunately, we do not offer any donations or free samples. Minimus.Biz is a large provider of economically priced kits and bulk products frequently used for causes. We spend a lot of time working with non-profits and camp programs to come up with affordable solutions. You can imagine that being in our business; we receive many requests for help. Due to this, we have put our donation efforts into our local Newbury Park, CA, community. What we can do is offer you bulk pricing and reasonable shipping for orders of $250 or more. Do you provide a warranty?
Minimus is committed to our customers’ satisfaction. We will make every effort to provide quality products. Products found to be defective will be promptly replaced!
Do you ship to prisons, jails or other types of correctional institutions ?
Unfortunately, Minimus is not an approved supplier for any type of correctional institute. We have previously shipped to these facilities; however have found that the majority of these shipments were rejected upon delivery. If you do choose to ship to one of these locations and your package is rejected, we will not be able to provide a refund.
Does my item need to be refrigerated?
No. None of our items need to be refrigerated prior to opening.
How can I re-order one of my previous orders (or re-order parts of it, or edit it for a new order)?
Please log in to your account and go to your order history under the “Your Account” tab at the top of the screen. Once you find the order you would like to duplicate, click the “Copy to Cart” button. You can then edit your cart to adjust quantities and add or delete items, and checkout as usual.
How can I see items that I have added to my wish list?
Please log in to your account and go to your wish list under the “Your Account” tab at the top of the screen. You can then update quantities, add items to your shopping cart, or delete items from your wish list.
How do loyalty points work?
Minimus offers 1 Loyalty Point for each 1 dollar spent on products. Loyalty points are saved and automatically applied on your next order. One hundred Loyalty Points equal 1 dollar, thus it is equivalent to 1% cash back. The Loyalty Points are automatically converted to cash and applied to each order, so you will only see the loyalty points from your last order. To see how many you have, you must be logged into your account. You can put something in your shopping cart and then go to the checkout process, and before you complete your order, you can see the loyalty points from your last order being applied to this one.
Loyalty Points have no cash value and are only redeemable on Minimus.biz website. You must have an account to receive loyalty points. Loyalty points are valid for 365 days.
How do you handle international shipping costs, taxes, and duties?
Minimus offers both FedEx International and a postal consolidator option (displayed as "International Postal") for shipments internationally. The consolidator uses either USPS or direct insertion into international mail carriers. Note that any items that are marked as "ground only" that are "hazmat" (see description below), will not allow the postal consolidator option -- these will go via FedEx (if able) with a surcharge and will be indicated at checkout that the cart contains such items that are causing a surcharge to the shipping costs.
Costs are determined both by weight of your order and your destination. To find out what is available in your area and service costs, please add your items to your cart, select your country from the drop-down menu on the checkout page, and then enter your shipping address and zip code. Your shipping costs will display along with the available service options and pricing.
Since each international purchase is subject to the many varied customs, regulations, and fees specific to that purchase, it is difficult for Minimus to address them and leaves that responsibility for adherence and payment to the purchaser. For more shipping information, consult our

How is my order packaged for shipment?
Minimus is careful as our items tend to be small. We have plastic poly bags to seal up smaller items together, away from bulkier items that may damage them in a box. We also use biodegradable packing peanuts (made from corn starch) to insure quality, and environmentally friendly, packing.

How long do products last? What are the shelf lives of the food products?
Each product has its own shelf life, and each shipment we receive may have a different shelf life depending on when it was manufactured. We carefully monitor the listed dates on the products and do not sell food past its expiration date. However, some foods list "best by," "use by," "sell by," or similar types of dates, which are advisories and not expirations. Technically, neither the FDA nor the USDA require food (with the exception of infant formula) to have any dating on it, expiration or otherwise; however, we choose not to list food items on the website that are past the listed "expiration" date, or those that we feel may be unsafe for any reason. While oftentimes we can ship products with a longer shelf life,
we are unable to guarantee an expiration date longer than 30 days. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Various climate and customer's storage conditions can have a significant impact on the shelf life of a product, so we are not able to provide specific expiration dates on products that do not have such dates printed on them by the manufacturer.
Is the site secure?
Yes. We are certified by Thawte, one of the leading companies that certify websites as secure. You can see the Thawte logo displayed on our site.
What happens if an item is out of stock?
We do our best to keep our website as up to date as possible; however due to the volume of shipments and orders we receive, inventory may be slightly off. In these instances, we would ideally remove/refund the item from your order. However, if you qualify for free shipping, and removing the item would result in your order dropping below the $20 minimum, we may replace the item with something similar that we have in stock or cancel/refund the entire order. If you have a preference on how you would like us to proceed, please feel free to leave a note on your order at checkout!
What if I want to order large quantities of a certain item?

What is your policy regarding the usage of images or other content on your website?
All of the Minimus site content is protected by international copyright laws. Where do you get everything?
All of our items come from a distributor or from the manufacturer.
Which of your items are gluten/wheat free?
Minimus carries some food and personal care products which have been marked by the manufacturer as Gluten Free.
Only food products that have been labeled by the manufacturer as being Gluten Free are listed in our Gluten Free Food shopping aisle. Though other products may also qualify as Gluten Free, they are not marked by the manufacturer.
Why are some items marked for Ground shipping only?
We carry several items (hairspray, shave cream aerosol, other aerosols, items with antibacterial alcohol content, etc.) that are considered hazardous materials by the U.S. Department of Transportation. We have chosen to limit the shipping of these items to Ground. Thus, they are not available for Hawaii, Alaska, International, or APO/FPO military orders.
Special arrangements can be made to ship these items via air, but there is a $50+ surcharge, per box, for the extra special labeling, paperwork, fees, and handling that must be done. Email us at

Why does my credit card show that the charge went through, when it rejected my card at checkout?
We use the leading credit card processing company, Authorize.net. We require address verification (AVS), but when the address entered on the order does not exactly match the billing address on the card, the charge is rejected by Authorize.net. Unfortunately, it is temporarily accepted by the credit card company, and it takes 1-5 business days for the charge to be removed from the credit card by the issuing credit card company. This includes multiple attempts to charge the card, where each is rejected, and each attempt is temporarily logged by the credit card company as a legitimate charge (for 1-5 business days).
Why is my shopping cart empty after I go back into it once I’ve been away for a while?
Our system cleans out shopping carts every 30 days. To save items for longer, you can add it to your wish list and transfer it to your shopping cart when you are ready to purchase!
Our server also relies on “cookies” (a small piece of information) to link your computer to your specific shopping cart session. If your items have disappeared prior to 30 days, you may have cleared or blocked cookies, or you may be on another computer.
Why won't my company credit card work for this order?
We have often seen that buyers using their company’s credit card often put in the address of the company. However, in some situations, the company credit card has the person’s home address and zip code on file. The card may have worked in other purchasing situations where the other vendor(s) did not have as stringent fraud checking in place. Thus, you may need to try the address that the card was issued to (often, company cards are initially sent to a person’s home address). If this is the case, and it works, we also recommend that you contact the credit card company and ask that your company’s address be added to your specific credit card account to prevent situations like this in the future.
